Kevin Zweyer Anderson, AAA, President of Anderson Fine Art Appraisals, is a Certified Appraiser of 19th Century,Impressionist, Modern & Contemporary art. He is Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) compliant through August 18, 2024.

As a Certified Appraiser, the Appraisers Association of America’s highest designation, he has appraised thousands of works of art over a career of thirty years. The Appraisers Association of America is the premier national association of personal property appraisers who focus on fine and decorative arts.

Anderson joined the AAA in 1989 and has practiced continually since that time in New York and Los Angeles. Anderson served on the National Board of Directors of the Appraisers Association from 2016 to 2021 and was Co-Chair of the Education Committee.

Anderson is also a member of The Art and Antique Dealers League of America and the Confederation Internationale des Negociants en Oeuvres D’Art (CINOA) as well as the Association of Historians of Nineteenth Century Art. He is a Research Library Reader at the Getty Research Institute in Brentwood, California.

Anderson received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Purchase College, New York. He has been a respected member of the art trade since1984, commencing his career at Hammer Galleries in New York City where he served as director of the print division before joining the European and American paintings department.

 

Anderson returned to his native Los Angeles in 1993 and held director and curatorial positions at two Beverly Hills galleries until1997. He established Anderson Galleries in1998 specializing in19th and 20th Century European and American Art. The gallery maintained a public space at the corner Bedford Drive and Wilshire Blvd in Beverly Hills for the next 20 years. Now private dealers working by appointment, Anderson continues to represent buyers and sellers of significant 19th, 20th and 21st Century Art.

Kevin works with Joyce Levin Anderson, his wife and partner in AFAA. They have three children, Ian, Sara and Darci.
